We are regular diners at XFOOD. It punches well above its weight serving quality food, in an attractively designed space and at very reasonable prices.
They often have dining “events”. Sometimes fixed price menus for feast days and festivals - like today’s pranzo di pasqua. Easter Sunday lunch. Sometimes a pop-up, where guest chefs from another restaurant cook from their menu (like Bros’ Restaurant, Lecce, where the 8 course tasing menu is €130 per person).
This is the second year that we have enjoyed a leisurely Easter lunch here. €40 per person for 8 courses served over a leisurely 5 hours, which included optional seconds, if you can find the space, and “bottomless” table wine and water.
Both pasta dishes are included, bringing a big smile to our collective faces, avoiding an otherwise impossible choice.
Even the table decorations are edible.
