Covid-19 in Puglia | 6 November Bulletin

Bulletin contains | an update on Italy’s most recent Covid-19 restrictions | a nationwide night curfew and a new flexible tiered system imposing a partial lockdown on certain regions that came into effect on Friday | links to regional resources and information for Puglia | links for information on getting a test

New national Covid-19 restrictions came into force from midnight tonight. These impose a national night time curfew and introduce a flexible tree-tier classification system. Regions are classified as red, orange and by default yellow zones, with different restrictions applying.

The new measures are set to continue until at least December 3rd.

 

National restrictions

 

Night curfew | a nationwide curfew applies between 10pm and 5am | this requires staying indoors between these times | travel for work or health-related reasons are permitted with a self-certification form.

Bars and restaurants | closed at all times in high-risk areas | delivery service and take home is permitted before the night curfew begins | elsewhere these can stay open until 6pm.

Museums and galleries | these remain closed.

 

Additional restrictions for red, orange zones

 

Orange zones | national restrictions apply | additional travel restrictions and business closures as follows:

Travel restrictions | travel outside the local commune is not allowed except for work, study, health or emergency with a self-certification form.

Business closures | bars, cafes, restaurants and other food businesses are closed to the public | delivery service and take home is permitted before the night curfew.

As from taking effect, Puglia has been classified as an orange (at risk) zone.

Red zones | national and orange zone restrictions apply | additional travel restrictions and business closures as follows:

Travel restrictions | travel is only permitted for work, study, health or emergency with a self-certification form.

Business closures | shops are closed except for those deemed essential, including supermarkets and other food shops, tabacco shops, bookshops and stationary shops | hairdressers and beauticians can stay open.

 

Application of continuing rules

Face masks | these remain mandatory at all times of the day across the country.

Social distancing | a distance of one metre from others at all times is to be observed | anyone with a temperature above 37.5 C must stay at home.
