Italy has recorded 1,367 new coronavirus cases, its highest daily tally since May before our lockdown ended.
In Puglia we have had a total of 5,217 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in February, far fewer than in northern Italy. Lombardia stands at 99,100 cases in comparison.
This represents an increase of just over 100% in the last 10 days with 355 new cases confirmed since 18 August when the total number of cases was 325.
