Gallipoli’s Punta della Suina beach was voted Italy’s top gay beach in a 2021 poll of Italy’s LGBTQ+ community. It had already been chosen as Puglia’s top gay and nudist beach according to locals and visitors (though it’s not our favorite gay beach in Puglia!)
And, it seems everyone else is now catching up. In April Punta della Suina was one of only five Italian beaches to be included as one of Europe’s 40 best beaches.
This week it became officially the most ‘trending’ beach in Europe, based on an analysis of trend data for 130 European beaches, analysing the average number of monthly searches they received and how many Pinterest boards they featured in.
Where the gays lead, everyone else follows!
